Real Madrid’s Brazilian footballer enjoys his holidays with another of his passions
It is well known that defending is not one of Vinicius Jr.’s strengths, but no one expected him to end up on the floor after being taken on by an opposing player during an amateur futsal match.
The incident, captured on video and reported by The Sun, occurred at the Canto do Rio Club in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
What happened to Vinicius Jr.?
Vinicius, who began his career at this club at the age of seven and has since reached the pinnacle of world football, is currently on holiday in Brazil after participating in the Copa America.
In the video, a young futsal player is seen dribbling past Vinicius and leaving him sitting on the ground.
Despite the embarrassing moment, there were no hard feelings; VinÃcius quickly got up and shook hands with the player. The clip has garnered over 1.6 million views, leaving fans stunned.
“If there were no footage, who would believe it?” one fan added.
“The funniest thing is that this will be the typical story of the guy who won’t even make it as a player… but this video will exist forever,” wrote another.
This mere setback will not last long in the Brazilian’s own memory however, with the forward expected to return to pre-season training with Real Madrid soon.
He will work alongside Kylian Mbappe, who joined Los Blancos on a Bosman deal this summer, and try to form the next great Real Madrid forward line.
