A massive Real Madrid election just completely collapsed

Agent Marc Kosicke has affirmed that Jürgen Klopp is happy with his Director role at Red Bull and has no intention of returning to management at Real Madrid, contrary to recent rumors.

The race for the Real Madrid presidency is heating up more than ever with promises from candidate Enrique Riquelme. However, the 37-year-old businessman’s ambition to bring Jürgen Klopp to the Bernabéu has just suffered a major blow from the German tactician’s camp.

During the election campaign, Riquelme’s team asserted that Real Madrid needs a manager capable of bringing “performance, cohesion, and value to dedicated efforts.” They declared that person is none other than Jürgen Klopp.

If he defeats incumbent president Florentino Pérez in the vote taking place this weekend, Riquelme plans to work with club legend Raúl González to find a way to persuade Klopp to take the hot seat. In response to the barrage of claims from Spain, Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, officially spoke out on Sky Sport to put an end to all speculation.

Kosicke was quite blunt: “It’s annoying! Jürgen Klopp is very happy in his role at Red Bull and has no ambition to be a head coach at any club.”

Since January 2025, the former Liverpool boss has been working as the Global Head of Soccer at the Red Bull group. Although Riquelme’s team hinted that they had positive discussions and that Klopp was ready to negotiate, the reaction from Marc Kosicke shows that the reality is entirely the opposite. Klopp has repeatedly affirmed that he has no intention of returning to the dugout in the near future.

While Enrique Riquelme considers Klopp a “royal signing” to attract voters, his opponent Florentino Pérez is reportedly aiming for the return of José Mourinho. With these latest developments, it seems that fans of the Spanish Royal club will have to wait for a different face instead of hoping for Jürgen Klopp to arrive in Madrid this summer.
