Neymar has received an important update as Brazil’s sports court prepares to review his suspension. Santos hope to reduce his punishment and bring him back earlier than expected.
Neymar Receives Major Suspension Update as Return Date Could Change
Neymar has received an important update about his suspension as Santos prepare for a crucial hearing that could decide when the Brazilian superstar returns to action.

Brazil’s Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) has officially scheduled an appeal hearing for November 5.
The 34-year-old forward is currently serving a suspension following a controversial incident against Bahia.
However, Santos are fighting to reduce his punishment and bring him back earlier than expected.
Neymar faces important hearing on November 5
According to Brazilian reports, the STJD will review Santos’ appeal on Thursday, November 5, at 10 AM local time.
Neymar received a two-match suspension after covering his mouth during an argument with Bahia midfielder Rodrigo Nestor on October 24.

The incident was judged under the controversial rule known as the “VinÃcius Jr. Protocol.”
The punishment, combined with a separate yellow-card suspension, has ruled Neymar out of three Santos matches.
Santos fight to reduce Neymar’s punishment
Santos believe the two-match suspension is too severe and have officially appealed the decision.
Head coach Cuca has also defended Neymar, arguing that the forward did not make racist or homophobic comments during the incident.

The club hopes to reduce the punishment from two matches to one, allowing Neymar to return against Coritiba on November 18.
However, if the appeal is rejected, Neymar is expected to remain unavailable until the match against Grêmio on November 22.
Neymar waits for decision on his future
Neymar has already missed Santos’ matches against Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino.
His absence comes at an important time as Santos continue fighting for a place in next season’s Copa Libertadores.
The November 5 hearing could therefore have a major impact on both Neymar and his team’s final matches of the season.
No final decision on the appeal has been announced yet.
For now, Neymar must wait to discover whether he can return earlier or continue serving his suspension.
