Real Madrid suddenly issues a final warning to Vinicius

Real Madrid wants to resolve the contract extension issue with Vinicius early before officially entering the new 2026/27 season.

Entering August, the situation regarding Vinicius Junior’s contract extension with Real Madrid has seen virtually no progress. The Brazilian forward—who returns to training this week after the 2026 World Cup alongside new signing Bernardo Silva—has a contract with the Royal Club until June 2027.

Vụ Arsenal chiêu mộ ngôi sao Vinicius có diễn biến mới

There are only about 5 months left before Vinicius is eligible to freely negotiate with any club under the Bosman ruling.

Arsenal continues to be mentioned as a potential destination for Vinicius. While some sources claim the “Gunners” have made initial approaches, there are also opinions asserting that both sides have yet to reach any agreement.

According to Cadena SER, the key sticking point causing the negotiation process to reach a deadlock is the vast gap between Vinicius’ demands and the salary Real Madrid is willing to pay.

Negotiations have halted since Vinicius rejected the offer of €20 million per season from Real Madrid.

Vini wants to remain committed to the Bernabeu, but does not accept doing so at all costs. On Real Madrid’s side, the team still considers him an important figure, but is also not prepared to meet the salary of around €30 million per season requested by the player’s camp.

As a result, many days have passed without the two sides resuming negotiations. The current scenario remains unchanged: if a renewal agreement is not reached, Vinicius will either leave Real Madrid on a free transfer when his contract expires, or the Spanish team will consider selling him in this summer’s transfer window to avoid losing him for nothing.

In any case, Real Madrid wants everything resolved before August 22, the time La Liga kicks off.
