Vinicius Junior is reportedly unhappy with the increasingly important role Jude Bellingham has been given by José Mourinho at Real Madrid.
The claim comes as Bellingham enjoys an excellent start under Mourinho, who has adjusted his tactics to give the England international greater freedom in attacking areas.
However, neither Vinicius, his representatives nor Real Madrid has confirmed that the Brazilian has complained about Bellingham.
Vinicius reportedly jealous of Bellingham’s status
Spanish journalist Santiago Segurola suggested Vinicius appeared “a little jealous” of Mourinho’s strong relationship with Bellingham.
Other reports claim the Brazilian may feel that Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé are receiving greater status within the team.
Those claims have fuelled speculation over Real Madrid’s changing attacking hierarchy.
Mourinho has changed Bellingham’s role
Mourinho recently said he no longer wanted Bellingham defending “almost like a second left-back.”
The midfielder has consequently been moved higher up the pitch, closer to the penalty area, where his movement, goalscoring ability and link-up play can have a greater impact.
The early results have supported Mourinho’s decision.

Bellingham has produced two goals and two assists across Real Madrid’s opening three La Liga matches.
