Marcus Rashford remains open to leaving Manchester United in this summer’s transfer window.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has no intention of leaving Old Trafford to join clubs in Turkey or Saudi Arabia, despite those leagues being ready to offer attractive packages.
The priority for the forward born in 1997 is to continue playing at the highest level and competing for major titles. That means only European football giants stand a chance of convincing Rashford to sit down at the negotiating table.
This stance shows that Rashford still puts sporting factors first during a crucial stage of his career. Despite experiencing plenty of volatility in a “Red Devils” shirt, the England international still wants to play for a team with enough potential to compete for both domestic titles and the Champions League if he is forced to find a new destination.
On MU’s side, Rashford’s future remains a subject receiving much attention. The forward who came through the Carrington academy still holds substantial value both sportingly and commercially. However, wages of over £300,000 per week pose a major hurdle for clubs seeking to sign him.
Manager Michael Carrick is still considering Rashford’s role in the squad for next season, as MU will have to compete across four competitions.
