Neymar is reported to have issued an ultimatum to Santos, expressing his intention to terminate his contract immediately if internal information continues to be leaked to the press.
The former Barcelona player, along with his agent Neymar Sr., recently held a meeting with Santos management, led by President Marcelo Teixeira, to express fierce dissatisfaction following the controversial events in the 2-2 draw against Chapecoense on July 26. He was accused by the media of bullying two young players, Gabriel Bontempo and Joao Ananias.

The number 10 star demanded absolute protection regarding his personal status and internal matters, while setting strict working conditions to remain with the club.
The 34-year-old forward expressed disappointment as dressing room details were continuously disclosed to the media. Neymar considers this a severe breach of confidentiality principles, impacting squad stability and his personal reputation.
The stance of the star born in 1992 remains steadfast. If any confidential team information continues to appear in the press, he is prepared to terminate his contract early. This drastic move is seen as a final warning to Santos’ management in controlling internal information flow.
Currently, Neymar’s contract with Santos remains valid until the end of December 2026. However, the likelihood of both sides continuing their partnership is becoming more fragile than ever due to cracks in the relationship between him and the club’s hierarchy.
