Neymar has reached an important point in his career at Santos, with his current contract set to expire on December 31.
The Brazilian star’s next move remains uncertain, and there has been no final decision on whether he will continue playing for Santos.
According to Marca, MLS club Inter Miami have appeared as a possible destination for Neymar, a move that could completely change the final years of his football career.
Brazilian website ge reported that Neymar recently arrived at Santos’ training centre but stayed for only a few minutes. He then reportedly left without permission and missed the recovery session planned for the first-team players.
The incident caused some concern inside Santos. However, Neymar returned for the following training session, and the Brazilian club decided not to punish him.
Neymar has already admitted that his future is still open. The Brazilian is considering several possibilities, including joining another club or even retiring from professional football.
Inter Miami could be an attractive option for the 34-year-old. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are already playing for the MLS club, meaning Neymar could reunite with his former teammates and bring the famous MSN trio back together.
Messi, Suarez and Neymar played alongside each other at Barcelona between 2014 and 2017, creating one of the most famous and dangerous attacking trios in modern football history.
At this stage, however, there is no agreement between Neymar and Inter Miami. The Brazilian remains under contract with Santos, and the final decision over where he will spend the last years of his career is still in his own hands.
