The midfielder appeared to believe he was having a private conversation with teammate Pau Cubarsí after being substituted.

Instead, television cameras captured his comments.

Rodri caught calling Valencia ‘terrible’

Rodri was withdrawn during the second half with Barcelona already in complete control of the game.

After sitting down on the bench, he began discussing Valencia’s performance with Cubarsí.

Rodri was heard saying: “They’re very bad… they’re terrible.”

He also expressed surprise when discussing Valencia’s position during the previous season and commented on how little resistance they had offered after half-time.
