Real Madrid is reportedly preparing to submit a €150 million offer for PSG midfielder Vitinha, thereby creating one of the most high-profile deals in the club’s history.
The attention-grabbing information emerged following an interview with President Florentino Pérez on the television program Horizonte. Ahead of the Real Madrid presidential election taking place this weekend, the head of the Spanish Royal club hinted at a blockbuster signing.

“Next week, we will submit an offer to a major Champions League club to sign a world-class player. This could be the largest amount of money Real Madrid has ever spent in its history, at least €150 million,” Pérez declared.
The 79-year-old president confirmed that the target is not Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku, Michael Olise, or Harry Kane. According to him, this is a true “Galáctico,” possessing a stature similar to the superstars who built the Real Madrid brand, such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká. Pérez also revealed that this player does not compete in the Premier League and plays in a position from midfield upwards.
Immediately, Spanish media began hunting for the identity of the mysterious star. Journalist Pacojo Delgado of Cadena SER suggested that Vitinha is the trump card that could help Pérez gain an absolute advantage in the race for the presidency.
At the same time, reporter Edu Pidal of Onda Cero affirmed that the Portuguese midfielder is precisely the target Real Madrid is willing to break their transfer record to pursue.
Vitinha had an outstanding season during PSG’s journey to conquer their second consecutive Champions League. The 26-year-old midfielder is currently valued by Transfermarkt at around €140 million and is considered one of the top all-around midfielders in Europe.
With the massive appeal and enormous financial package from Real Madrid, Vitinha is highly likely to become the focal point of the 2026 summer transfer market.
