Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal has completed a memorable summer by celebrating his 19th birthday with a large party in Vilanova del Vallès. The young winger, who recently added the World Cup to his European Championship title, is now preparing to return to Hansi Flick’s squad after his summer break.
A summer full of celebrations for Barcelona’s young star
Yamal has enjoyed an unforgettable summer, strengthening his position as one of the brightest young talents in world football. Shortly after turning 19 on July 13, the winger helped Spain win the 2026 World Cup, adding another major international trophy after his Euro 2024 success two years earlier.
After finishing his international duties, the Barcelona youngster was given extra time off before returning to club football under Hansi Flick.
Yamal spent much of his holiday in Colombia, where he enjoyed his break and spent time with local fans. However, his actual birthday came while he was still competing in the final stages of the World Cup in North America. Because of this, he waited until returning to Catalonia to hold a bigger celebration.
Inside Yamal’s birthday party
According to El Español, the celebration took place at Mas de Sant Llei, a large country house in Vilanova del Vallès. The venue is normally used for luxury weddings and private events, giving Yamal and his guests plenty of privacy.
Around 100 people were invited to the party, making it smaller than his 18th birthday celebration last year. That event had more than 200 guests and featured a “gangster” theme.
His 2025 party included famous names such as Robert Lewandowski, Gavi, Nicki Nicole and Bizarrap. Although this year’s guest list was smaller, several of Yamal’s Barcelona teammates were reportedly there to celebrate with the 19-year-old.
Pre-season begins for the world champions
Yamal is expected to return to training on Wednesday as he begins preparing for the new season.
He is part of the final group of international players returning to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after receiving extra holiday time following Spain’s World Cup final against Argentina in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Yamal will return alongside fellow Spain internationals Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres, who also used their full holiday period after the tournament.
Meanwhile, several other Barcelona players decided to return earlier than expected. Gavi, Eric Garcia, Joan Garcia and Anthony Gordon all shortened their holidays to begin preparing for the new season with the squad.
