Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Neymar will be fit enough to feature in the final group stage match of the 2026 World Cup against Scotland at 5:00 AM on June 25.
The Santos attacking midfielder missed Brazil’s first 2 matches due to a calf injury, but the Italian tactician stated that the 34-year-old star will return to training with the whole team early next week and could feature in the decisive match of Group C.

Neymar was previously named on the bench in the 1-1 draw against Morocco but was not used. Before the clash against Haiti, Brazil announced that he would remain in New Jersey to continue treatment for a grade two calf strain, an issue expected to keep Neymar out for two to three weeks.
However, following the 3-0 victory over Haiti, Ancelotti brought positive news for Selecao fans. The Italian coach shared: “Neymar will train individually tomorrow and return to training with the whole team on Monday. He will be ready for the match against Scotland.”
Neymar’s return is seen as highly timely in the context that Brazil has just received an additional squad concern. Raphinha encountered a hamstring issue in the first half of the victory over Haiti and had to leave the pitch early. Ancelotti admitted he was not yet clear on the severity of this injury and stated that the Barcelona winger will need further tests to determine his availability.
The good news about Neymar comes right after Brazil’s convincing performance against Haiti. Following the draw with Morocco on opening day, the Selecao were forced to win to continue the race for a ticket to the round of 32. The South American representative responded with a 3-0 victory, with all three goals scored in the first half.
If Neymar returns in time against Scotland, Brazil will have an additional major boost on their journey to conquer their 6th World Cup championship in history.
