The stabbing of Mounir Nasraoui , Lamine Yamal ‘s father , has caused an earthquake in the world of football due to the notoriety he had acquired in the last European Championship , following his son’s performances in Germany. The father of the FC Barcelona player is in the Can Ruti hospital in Badalona , where he was admitted in a serious condition after suffering several stab wounds in Mataró .
According to El Mundo, three people have been arrested and it is not ruled out that there may be more involved. The hypothesis that the Mossos d’Esquadra are working with is that the confrontation between Mounir Nasraoui and his attackers goes back a long way and that there may even have been a fight hours before that ended up triggering the attack.
According to La Vanguardia, several witnesses have testified to the Mossos that Lamine Yamal’s father was walking his dog in the Rocafonda neighbourhood when water was thrown at him from a balcony and he was reprimanded, causing a row that led to a fight.
Hours later, at night, these same individuals or people related to them allegedly stabbed Lamine Yamal’s father more than once, leaving him no chance to defend himself . The investigation is ongoing and it is not ruled out that there may be more arrests in relation to the incident.
Mounir Nasraoui’s health status
Mounir Nasraoui was admitted to Can Ruti hospital in Badalona in a serious condition, although according to several reports he was stable after receiving first aid. The three detainees are accused of attempted murder.
