UEFA has released the new version of its anthem with slight changes that have not been liked at first
UEFA has unveiled a new version of its anthem for the 2024/25 season, taking advantage of the fact that the top continental competition is changing its format . They wanted to go further and also vary what until now was a globally recognisable anthem.
Coinciding with the final qualifying round for the Champions League, the stadiums of Young Boys, Dynamo Kiev, Malmö and Midtjylland have witnessed the anthem that will accompany all the players when they take to the pitch before the matches.
A change that has quickly caused people to express their discontent on social media, where practically all football fans have criticised this variation and expressed their discontent, despite the fact that the new version has only undergone slight modifications in certain chords.
The lyrics of the song, sung in three languages, have not been modified , but the accompanying melody has been modified at a faster pace than the previous one. These modifications are less significant than those suffered by the competition itself.
