Lamine Yamal continues to break records with Barcelona, even though he is currently recovering from an injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his left leg.
Barcelona’s young star has been named La Liga’s “Player of the Month” for the third time in the same season – an unprecedented record in the history of this award.

This award, created in the 2013/14 season, is given for the best monthly performance in the championship.
Although many football stars have won it more than once, no one had achieved it three times in a single season.
Yamali had previously won it in November and December, but this third achievement puts him above names like Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé, who have not reached this level in a single season.
In April, Yamali scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists, with his most notable performance coming in a 2–1 win over Atlético Madrid.

His performance has been crucial for Barcelona, which is at the top of La Liga and in the race for the title.
However, in the match against Celta Vigo on April 22 at the “Spotify Camp Nou”, Yamali was forced to leave the field due to physical concerns.
It was later confirmed that he has suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to miss the remainder of the season with Barcelona, but is expected to recover in time for the 2026 World Cup with the Spanish national team.
