Answering his homeland media, the former Liverpool manager confirmed that negotiations have been initiated and expressed his desire to return to coaching work.

“I feel more full of energy than ever. I am ready”, Klopp said in an interview with Magenta TV.

In another exchange with Servus TV, the German strategist admitted that accepting the offer to lead “Die Mannschaft” is a very attractive option, but everything has not yet been able to come to a conclusion because he is still bound to Red Bull.

Currently, Klopp assumes the role of Global Head of Football for the Red Bull group, in charge of technical direction for all teams in the system and building a unified playing philosophy.

He emphasized that he highly appreciates his current job as well as the team of associates he has worked with for nearly two years.

“I am not the type of person who easily gives up on what I am building. I have a wonderful collective at Red Bull and really enjoy the work here”, Klopp shared.

Even so, the former Liverpool boss could not hide his excitement at the invitation from the Germany national team. Klopp said that the final decision does not only depend on him personally but also requires the approval of the Red Bull leadership, especially Oliver Mintzlaff.

After parting ways with Liverpool in 2024, Klopp once declared a temporary departure from coaching work. However, the upheaval on the Germany national team’s coaching bench after the 2026 World Cup could open a new chapter in the career of one of the most successful managers in European football.
