A massive market value crash for Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe’s transfer value has dropped by €20 million, while Julian Alvarez has reached the €100 million mark, and Lamine Yamal solely takes the top spot in the world.

Following a season that failed to meet expectations with Real Madrid, Mbappe’s transfer value decreased by €20 million, from €200 million down to €180 million. This means the French superstar no longer shares the title of the world’s most valuable player with Yamal.

According to evaluations from Transfermarkt, although Mbappe maintained an impressive goal-scoring form, Real Madrid’s poor collective achievements directly affected his value. The Royal club only won the UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup, which falls far short of the expectations set when signing a star of Mbappe’s caliber.

Not only Mbappe, but a series of Real Madrid stars also saw their values drop. Vinicius Junior lost €10 million, decreasing from €150 million to €140 million, while Jude Bellingham also witnessed his value decline due to inconsistent form and prolonged injury issues.

In contrast to the gloomy atmosphere at the Bernabeu, Atletico Madrid received good news as Julian Alvarez reached the €100 million mark. The Argentine forward increased by €10 million after an explosive season and is considered one of the most notable names in the summer transfer market.

Transfermarkt notes that Alvarez’s current price is even quite modest considering his form and appeal. A successful World Cup could entirely help the 26-year-old striker continue to increase his value in the near future.

At Barcelona, the adjustments were not too significant. Raphinha is a rare case of a decrease, dropping from €80 million to €70 million due to age and the impact of injuries.

Meanwhile, the young talent Yamal maintains his €200 million valuation, thereby solely occupying the position of the world’s most valuable player. The teenage star continues to assert his status as the new icon of Spanish and European football.
