The 19-year-old Barcelona star achieved the milestone during his team’s impressive 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on November 3.
Yamal has now scored more Champions League goals before the age of 20 than any other player in the competition’s history.
Yamal officially breaks Mbappé’s historic record
Yamal opened the scoring just seven minutes into the match at Camp Nou.
The Spanish winger took advantage of a defensive mistake by Aston Villa before sending the ball into the net.

It was his 14th Champions League goal, taking him past Mbappé’s previous record of 13 goals before turning 20.
According to Opta, Yamal achieved this incredible milestone at just 19 years and 113 days old.
He has now scored 14 goals in 37 Champions League appearances.
Yamal moves ahead of Europe’s biggest stars
Yamal’s latest achievement puts him above some of football’s biggest names.

The Champions League scoring record for players before their 20th birthday now stands at:
- Lamine Yamal: 14 goals
- Kylian Mbappé: 13 goals
- Erling Haaland: 10 goals
Even more impressively, Yamal still has several months before turning 20, giving him more opportunities to extend his record.
Barcelona celebrate another big Champions League victory
Yamal’s early goal helped Barcelona take control against Aston Villa.
Brazilian winger Raphinha then scored twice in the second half to complete a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The result gave Barcelona nine points after four Champions League matches this season.
Yamal also matched Warren Zaïre-Emery’s record of 37 Champions League appearances as a teenager.
Another incredible achievement for Barcelona’s young star
At just 19, Yamal continues to show why he is considered one of football’s brightest young talents.
His latest record is another major step in his impressive career.

And with plenty of football still ahead of him, Yamal now has the chance to make his Champions League scoring record even harder for future young stars to break.
