OFFICIAL: Mourinho Makes a Strong Statement About Vinícius Jr.’s Future at Real Madrid
Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has sent a strong message about Vinícius Jr.’s future, making it clear that no player is more important than the team.
The Brazilian winger has been struggling to reach his best form this season, raising questions about his place in Mourinho’s starting lineup.
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga clash with Valencia on November 7, Mourinho addressed the situation directly.
Mourinho sends a clear warning to Vinícius Jr.
During his press conference on November 6, Mourinho was asked whether Real Madrid played better without Vinícius.
The Portuguese manager responded with a firm message.
“For me, the most important thing is the team. I would never hurt the team to benefit one player,” Mourinho said.
He explained that every decision about his starting lineup must be based on what is best for Real Madrid.
The 63-year-old coach made it clear that Vinícius must compete for his place, just like every other player.
Mourinho still believes in the Brazilian star
Despite his strong words, Mourinho insisted that Vinícius still has the ability to return to his best level.
He defended the winger’s performance during Real Madrid’s recent 3-2 Champions League victory over AEK Athens.
According to Mourinho, Vinícius played a good game, but expectations are much higher because of his talent.
The manager believes that great players can go through difficult periods and still return stronger.
He also praised the support Vinícius continues to receive from his teammates.
Vinícius faces an uncertain starting role
Vinícius will miss Real Madrid’s match against Valencia as he completes his La Liga suspension following his red card against Villarreal.
Mourinho explained that he will decide how to use the Brazilian once he becomes available again.
Although no final decision has been announced about Vinícius’s place in the team, Mourinho’s message is clear: Real Madrid’s success will always come first.
The Brazilian now faces an important challenge as he looks to regain his best form and secure a regular starting position.
