David Beckham has received fresh support to become Manchester United’s new owner, with former Liverpool striker Djibril Cissé suggesting Roy Keane could return as manager.
David Beckham Backed to Become Man Utd’s New Owner as Roy Keane Return Is Suggested
David Beckham has received surprising support to become Manchester United’s new owner, with another club legend also being suggested for a major return to Old Trafford.

Former Liverpool and Sunderland striker Djibril Cissé believes Beckham could help rebuild Manchester United after years of disappointing results.
He has also suggested that Roy Keane could return to the club as manager.
David Beckham backed for Manchester United takeover
Speaking to Mr Gamble in an interview reported on November 4, Cissé supported the idea of Beckham taking control of Manchester United.
“He’s doing a good job at Inter Miami,” Cissé said.

The former France international believes Beckham’s reputation, experience and influence in football could help United move forward.
Beckham is already a co-owner of Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi currently plays.
Roy Keane could make a surprising return
However, Cissé did not stop with Beckham.
He also suggested that former Manchester United captain Roy Keane should become the club’s manager if Beckham takes over.
“If it were him and Roy Keane, that would be amazing,” Cissé explained.
Cissé previously played under Keane at Sunderland and praised his strong personality, leadership and experience.
He believes the former United captain could bring discipline and a winning mentality back to Old Trafford.
Paul Scholes also supports Beckham takeover idea
Cissé’s comments came as Manchester United legend Paul Scholes also welcomed the possibility of a Beckham-led takeover.
Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Scholes said he would support new investors if they could improve the club’s situation.
However, Nicky Butt warned that the Glazer family’s reported £8 billion valuation could make any takeover difficult.

For now, Beckham has not announced any official plan to buy Manchester United, and there is no confirmed agreement involving Roy Keane.
Still, the latest comments have created fresh debate about whether two famous United legends could one day return to Old Trafford in completely different roles.
