Cristiano Ronaldo needed only 23 minutes to score on his return to Al Nassr before posting a short message that quickly attracted attention after his difficult week with Portugal.
Ronaldo Sends Clear Message After Scoring on Al Nassr Return Following Portugal Drama
Cristiano Ronaldo returned to club football in the best possible way after scoring for Al Nassr and then posting a short message following a difficult week with the Portugal national team.
The Portuguese superstar started against Al Diriyah and needed only 23 minutes to find the net.
After Al Nassr completed a 3-0 victory, Ronaldo went to social media with a simple message.
“Job done. On to the next one!”
Ronaldo scores immediately on Al Nassr return
It was Ronaldo’s first appearance for Al Nassr since leaving the Portugal national team camp following his dispute with coach Jorge Jesus.
Despite the controversy surrounding him, Ronaldo showed no signs of being distracted when he returned to the pitch.
He opened the scoring after reacting quickly to a loose ball inside the penalty area.
The goal gave Al Nassr an early advantage and helped them take control of the match.
Short message attracts major attention
After the final whistle, Ronaldo did not write a long statement about Portugal or his recent problems.
Instead, he kept his message very short.
“Job done. On to the next one!”
The timing of the post quickly attracted attention because Ronaldo has spent the past week at the centre of major controversy.
No direct message to Portugal
Some reports have described Ronaldo’s post as a possible message to Portugal.
However, there is no evidence that he was directly speaking to Jorge Jesus, the Portuguese Football Federation or anyone connected with the national team.
Ronaldo did not mention Portugal in the post.
The safest interpretation is that he was simply celebrating another victory and looking ahead to his next challenge.
Ronaldo reaches 980 career goals
The goal was also another important step in Ronaldo’s incredible scoring career.
It took his official career total to 980 goals.
That leaves him only 20 goals away from reaching the huge target of 1,000.
Ronaldo has made no secret of the fact that this milestone remains one of his biggest personal goals.
Al Nassr fans show strong support
Ronaldo also received a powerful show of support from Al Nassr fans before and during the match.
Supporters displayed a banner featuring CR7 and the message:
“Greatness is earned.”
Fans also sang Ronaldo’s name and made their support clear after a difficult week for the Portuguese captain.
Perfect response after difficult week
Ronaldo’s return could hardly have gone better.
He scored, Al Nassr won 3-0 and he moved another step closer to 1,000 career goals.
Most importantly, he was able to focus on football again after several days of controversy away from the pitch.
For Ronaldo, the best response was not another long statement. It was a goal.
Portugal future remains uncertain
Questions still remain about Ronaldo’s international future.
He has not retired from Portugal duty and has left the door open to returning after any disciplinary punishment is completed.
For now, however, his attention is back on Al Nassr.
And his latest message suggests he is ready to move forward rather than continue looking back at the drama.
Ronaldo looks ahead
The words “On to the next one” may be simple, but they perfectly match Ronaldo’s current situation.
After a difficult period with Portugal, he has returned to club football, scored again and helped his team win.
With 1,000 career goals getting closer, Ronaldo appears determined to keep moving forward one match at a time.
